I will be writing my rhetorical analysis on "Why Twitter Will Endure" by David Carr on pages 583-585.
Sample Student Rhetorical Analysis:
3 Points Jackson makes about context and text
Context1. Jackson points out that the audience of his speech was the 34 members of the House Judiciary Committee.
2. Jackson says that Jordan, a democrat, had to convince her audience (mainly republican) that she was not biased.

3. He points out that Jordan is trying to be humble and trying not to judge in saying "Has the president committed offenses, and planned, and directed, and acquiesced in a course of conduct which the Constitution would not tolerate?"
Text:
1. He shows how the author (Barbra Jordan) showed evidence to support her arguments(example: reasons for President Nixon to be impeached and other historical quotes). (Ethos)
2. He says that "...establishes herself as someone fighting to defend and protect American values." (pathos)
3. Jackson appeals to emotion by bringing up how accepted authority and law deals with impeachment (logos)

My contextual analysis: Jordan brings up a point about how she would not subvert the Constitution of the United States and how a President should not. She tries to instill a strong feeling that the president should be impeached. She continues to say that "the President has counseled his aides to commit perjury, willfully disregard the secrecy of grand jury proceedings, conceal surreptitious entry, attempt to compromise a federal judge, while piblicly displaying his cooperation with the processes of criminal justice."
My textual analysis: Barbra Jordan believes the Constitution is being destructed and he will not sit on the sidelines. That is why Barbra wrote this speech.
